BIGLAD Agri-Tourism Farm promotes sustainable agriculture through agro-ecological practices, capacity building, and agri-tourism. Our work supports resilient food systems, inclusive growth, and environmental stewardship across rural communities.
We apply ecological principles to farming systems to improve productivity, resilience, and sustainability. Our approach strengthens soil health, biodiversity, and food security while reducing reliance on synthetic and hazardous inputs.
BIGLAD supports food systems that improve availability, access, stability, and utilization. By linking production, markets, and communities, we help farmers and enterprises build resilient and inclusive agricultural systems.
Empowering women is an important aspect of our work, and it has been proved to have broader implications. When women flourish, they tend to invest more in their homes and families, providing more nutritious meals for their children and keeping them healthy
Farms and ecosystems managed using agro-ecological methods to improve the four dimensions of food security – availability, access, stability, and utilization – which contribute to lowering rural poverty, strengthening resilience, encouraging local development, and improving the livelihoods of communities.
BIGLAD Agri-Tourism Farm operates a range of medium-sized organic and climate-smart agricultural enterprises on eight acres of land. These enterprises serve as demonstration models for sustainable farming, agribusiness development, and the Presidential Four-Acre Model for household poverty eradication.
